Computer Engineering and Embedded Systems
Computer engineering is an incredibly broad field. The field includes the creation of software through which the modern world is literally operated; hardware that allows what was once considered a supercomputer to fit in our pockets; and the creation of communications systems that utterly transformed the way we work and live. Advanced Networking Technologies
Advanced Networking Technologies that implement cutting-edge algorithms in communications network hardware and software to enable applications such as telemedicine, telesurgery and cloud computing.

Smart Systems Design, such as networked systems research that integrates sensors with decision-making processes in order to automatically manage remote functions.
System Prototyping that bridges the gap that too often exists between academia and industry, including FPGA design that allows for customized and more energy efficient computing embedded system design and hardware/software co-design.
