Tammy Savoie earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Business (Magna Cum Laude) from North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, NC in 1997. Tammy joined the University of Houston Industrial Advisory Board for Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2004. Tammy earned her Master’s in Business Administration from University of Houston-Victoria in 2005. She began her electrical career with Brown & Root as an electrical draftsman and advanced her career to Field Electrical Engineer at a Nuclear Power Plant with Bechtel and later Carolina Power & Light. She moved to the manufacturing environment and worked for Siemens Energy for 16 years starting as an Application Engineer, promoted to Product Manager for Medium Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear and transferred over to sales as a Sr. Account Manager for transmission and distribution electrical equipment.
In 2013, Tammy joined Mitsubishi Electric Power Products as the Mid America Regional Vice President where she currently works closely with manufacturer’s reps in a 12 state region to promote Mitsubishi Electric Power Products and solutions to the utility industry.
She is also a Senior Member of IEEE since 1997.
